Summer 2020 Favorites | Beauty + Fashion

Hello loves! With summer coming to an end, I thought I would share my favorite products that I discovered over the last months. At the beginning of the pandemic, I was in a rut of using the same things over and over, but once I came back to NYC in June I started to get back into more experimentation. I think I am going to continue with the pattern of seasonal favorites for the rest of the year because it gives me more time to experiment with products and decide which are truly my favorites of that season. As always everything in this post is stoppable by clicking on an image or pink link. Enjoy!

Ruffle Tank

My favorite statement top of the summer! I love the champagne color (it also comes in black) and I’m a sucker for ruffles. The straps are adjustable ties which is perfect for people like me with narrow shoulders.

High Neck Bodysuit

I originally only purchased this bodysuit in the beige color (which is unfortunately sold out) but since I wore it so much I recently picked up the black one. I love the high neckline, and when the temperature gets cooler this will be a great layering piece. Although the beige is sold out, the black and white are still in stock in most sizes.

Lancer Clarifying Mask

I love trying out new face masks, and this one is amazing. The key ingredient is sulfur (which I talk more about in this post HERE) which my skin reacts super well to. The mask also is formulated with green tea which combats redness. If you are suffering from acne (or maskne!) you need to try this mask. It only takes a thin layer so the mask is worth the price - it will last forever.

Retinol Eye Patches

These are perfect for a self care night! They are by KNC beauty (a black owned business!) and are formulated with retinol. They are super cooling and moisturizing under the eyes and the star shapes make them super chic for Instagram photos as well.

Fanola No Yellow Shampoo

I purchased this per your recommendations over on Instagram and it is a new staple in my hair routine! This purple shampoo does an amazing job at keeping my blonde highlights bright - and at under $13 you can’t beat it. This is a super pigmented purple shampoo, so I recommend only using it every couple of washes.

Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

I have always heard great things about this foundation, and couldn’t bring myself to spend the $$$ on it. I received a sample of this with a Sephora order and after testing it out, I realized what the hype was about. It has a luminous yet matte finish (which I make sure to set with a setting powder). And most importantly, it’s oil free, which is the number one thing I look for in a foundation. I definitely think it’s worth it, especially right now when I am not wearing makeup everyday - so it will last longer.

Rubber Birkenstocks

I don’t think I have shared these on the blog or Instagram, but I have been wearing them non-stop since I got them. The black color is sleek and can be easily dressed up or down. They are waterproof so they were perfect for my beach trip in August. I have been wearing them on quick errands as well - such an easy shoe to throw on in a rush. They’re 100% worth the price.

Levi’s Wide Leg Shorts

I am so picky about denim short; I haven’t owned a pair in almost 2 years. I decided to try these because of the wide leg (I HATE when denim shorts are too tight) and they didn’t disappoint. The light wash is super on trend for summer but most importantly I am comfortable in them. I recommend sizing up (I am wearing the 28).

Staud Bag

I purchased this bag from an online Staud sample sale through 260 sample sale. It is the mini moreau bag and have been admiring this style for the last 1-2 summers. When I saw that it was included in the sample sale I had to purchase! It’s surprisingly spacious and always makes a statement.
