Swimsuit Trends + Shopping Guide 2019

Hello loves! I couldn’t decide what blog post to write this week, so I asked y'all on Instagram what would you rather see: a swimsuit trends + shopping guide post, or a spring dresses trends + shopping guide post. As you can tell from the title of this post, the swimsuit option was the winner, but since it was about a 60%-40% split, I’ll probably post about spring dresses next week! With spring break and summer vacations just around the corner, it’s time to start shopping for swimsuits.

One trend I’ve been noticing on Instagram and on various websites is mesh incorporated into swimsuits. I love how the mesh instantly spices up a plain suit. And the best part is, you don’t have to break the bank to find trendy mesh options! All the mesh swimmies pictured below are under $50.

Another trend I’ve been loving is swimsuits with frills such as ruffles, pom poms, and tassels. These details are so fun and playful and add such a cute touch. In the same realm as frills, embellishments such as hoops are everywhere on swimsuits this season. My favorite way that I’ve seen these hoops styled is a belt “buckle” or within a shoulder strap.

The final trend I’ve noticed is metallic swimsuits. I think these would be so fun for a pool party! My favorite thing about all these trends is that they can be seen in both one and two piece swimsuits, so there’s a little something for everybody.

I’ve rounded up 13 of my favorite swimsuits that I’ve seen online below so y’all can easily shop my picks that follow this year’s swimsuit trends. Everything is under $70 total (i.e. $70 for the bikini top and bottom together) … you don’t have to break the bank to have cute swimsuits!

From the swimsuits pictured above, the only one I own is the black mesh one shoulder one piece. I purchased a small and I can’t wait to wear this during my spring break trip to Las Vegas! I’m so into the mesh swimsuit trend, and I love that this one is both chic and budget friendly (only $40!).
