4 Types of Boots That Every Gal Needs: a Fall shopping + styling guide

Hello loves! Boot season is in full swing and I am loving it. There are so many different types of boots out there that serve a variety of purposes in someone’s wardrobe. Today I’m getting specific on what types of boots I think everyone needs in their life this season. I’m not saying you need to purchase the exact pairs that I have, but these are 4 trends that can be incorporated into anyone’s closet this season. Let me know which of the following types of boots are your favorite!

Pop of Color

Boots are definitely not limited to neutrals! Colored boots are unexpected, and there are so many chic autumn tones on the market right now. I originally purchased my orange booties to wear to a UT football game, but I’ve ended up pairing them with a variety of neutral toned outfits … they’re the perfect fall color!

Animal Print

While snakeskin is probably the most popular animal print for boots at the moment, this is by no means the only print! Think of animal print boots as an elevated neutral. I love pairing mine with any solid outfit to add a patterned accent.

Black Booties

The most basic, yet versatile of them all! I’ve never met a black bootie I didn’t like. From September-March you’ll see me pair these with anything from jeans to mini dresses to midi skirts. I definitely recommend investing in a higher quality pair of black booties. You’ll get so much wear out of them and they will last forever!

Over the Knee Boots

I hopped on the over the knee boot train about 2 years ago, and I am still 100% on board. I personally prefer suede ones that are flat or have a low heel, but I’ve seen people ROCK the heeled versions. My favorite way to wear these is with a mini dress (especially a sweater dress).
