Best of Beauty Under $20

Hello loves! It’s been way too long since my last beauty post. Today I thought I would switch it up and share a round up of all of my favorite beauty products under $20. Some of these products I have been using since high school they’re THAT good, but since I am constantly trying new things, I sometimes forget to talk about my tried and true favorites - so that’s exactly what today’s post is. I broke all of the products up into 3 price categories: under $10, $10-$14.99, and $15-20 to make the post easier to read. As always you can click on the images or the pink links to shop the products. Enjoy!

L’Oreal Brow Stylist Definer $8.99

If you like the Benefit Precisely My Brow pencil, you’ll love this. It’s a super slim eyebrow pencil with a spooky at one end. This products allows you to precisely fill in and shape the brows. This pencil makes it easy to create natural looking brows.

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toner $8.70

If you’re first getting into glycolic acid, I recommend this toner. It’s easy to apply with a cotton pad and is a great chemical exfoliant. This is pretty strong and can be drying so I would suggest starting with one night a week, and working your way up to using it a few nights a week from there. I found out after a few months of use that this can be too stripping if using every night (which I was doing for a while) so learn for my mistakes and use sparingly.

Versed Tinted Lip Oil $9.99

If you’re looking for a product that offers a small amount of color while also nourishing the lips, this is for you. I have the shade Ruby and I want to add the other shades to my collection. The shine that this product gives off is incredible.

Billie Razor $9

I have been using this razor for almost a year now and it 100% lives up to the hype. The $9 starter kit includes the handle, the magnetic holder that sticks to your shower wall, and two blades (plus free shipping!). Once you make your initial purchase you can decide how often you want replacement blades sent to you based on how often you shave. This razor gives such a smooth shave and is so aesthetically pleasing - plus it’s super convenient to get the blades delivered to your door.

Batiste Beautiful Brunette Dry Shampoo $9.99

I started using this dry shampoo in high school, and I haven’t found anything that beats it for the price. All Batiste shampoos instantly get rid of oil in the hair, but I specifically love the brunette option because the product comes out brown instead of white, making it easier to blend into the roots (they also make a darker one and a blonde option). I go through dry shampoo so fast so having an affordable one is a must, and this is the best I’ve tried.

Dry Brush $8.95

Dry brushing is something I got into during quarantine, and I now understand why so many people love it. Dry brushing stimulates the lymphatic system and helps to combat dry skin. I followed a few different YouTube tutorials to find out which methods I liked best. For under $10 this tool has so many benefits.

L’Oreal Infalliable Super Slim Liquid Liner $8.99

This liquid liner is pigmented, stays on all day, and is simple to use. This is another product that I’ve been using since high school and I just keep repurchasing it every time I need a new liquid liner. I love that it is in a pen form because I feel like that gives me the most control.

ELF Instant Lift Brow Pencil $2

This is the most affordable thing on this list, and it’s too good for the price! This eyebrow pencil is thicker than the L’Oreal one so it’s not as precise, but it allows you to quickly fill in the brows. I’m shocked at how good it is for only $2.

Fanola No Yellow Purple Shampoo $13.42

I tried this product based on recommendations from Instagram and I understand why so many people suggested it! This shampoo does an amazing job at keeping my blonde highlights bright. It’s super pigmented for a purple shampoo, so I only use it every couple of washes. For the price this can’t be beat.

L’Oreal Lash Paradise $10.99

My favorite mascara from the drugstore! I always end up going back to this one because it’s that good. It gives the lashes the perfect balances of volume and length and does not flake or smudge. What more could you ask for from a mascara?

The Ordinary Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% $12.90

This is a serum formulated with a vitamin C derivative which is perfect for brightening up the skin. It’s gentle enough to use both morning and night (even though I prefer to only use vitamin C in the morning) and I love that it’s unscented. If you’re just getting into vitamin C serums I recommend this one because it’s lightweight and so reasonably priced.

L’Oreal Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Unscented Hairspray $14.99

This is the best hairspray if you like a hold without the crunchy feeling. This hairspray will hold your style in place (I use it every time I curl my hair or wear it up) yet it’s not overly sticky so you will be able to easily brush your hair out at the end of the day with ease.

Ice Roller $15.99

If you’ve been reading my blog and following on Instagram for a while now, you know my obsession with ice rolling. I have a full blog post about it HERE but in summary, you keep this little tool in the freezer and roll it on your face in the morning (or really anytime your skin needs a refresh). The benefits include promoting circulation and de-puffing - everyone needs one of these in their beauty tools collection.

Juvia’s Place Nubian Eye Shadow Palette $20

This has been my go-to eyeshadow palette over the last two years. The colors are super pigmented, blend beautifully, and I love that there is a mix of matte and shimmer shades. The palette is also compact enough for travel. I also just saw that they launched a mini version of the palette for $10 (which includes my three favorite shades from the original palette) so if you don’t want to commit to the full palette I would suggest that one.

Glossier Boy Brow $16

A tinted brow gel is an essential step in my brow routine, and this one is amazing. It adds color while keeping the hairs in place. Since it is tinted, it can be used in combination with a brow pencil, or on its own for a more natural look.

MAC Russian Red Lipstick $19

I can’t even tell you how many of these lipsticks I’ve gone through since high school - that’s how long this has been my go-to red lipstick. It’s extremely matte, yet doesn’t dry out the lips and is insanely pigmented. The only negative is it is not transfer proof, but that is ok with me since the color works so well with my skin tone and the color payoff is unreal.

Versed The Shortcut Overnight Facial $19.99

This is a new discovery of mine, but I thought I would go ahead and include it. This is a product that you apply after you wash your face at nighttime 2-3 times a week and don’t rinse off until the morning. It’s a chemical exfoliant formulated with glycolic acid, lactic acid, and vitamin A and when I have used this my skin feels smoother in the morning. If you have dry skin, I would not recommend this product as it is most effective on non-moisturized, but cleansed skin.

Rare Beauty Liquid Blush $20

Another new find that I am obsessed with. This is the only product I have tried from Rare Beauty (which is Selena Gomez’s makeup line) and I am SO impressed that I might have to pick up more shades in the future. This liquid blush is super pigmented (a little goes a LONG way) so I can see this product lasting me forever. I have the shade Bliss which is a neutral pink shade that dries down to a matte finish. For those who like a more dewey look they also have a formula that dries down glowy instead of matte.

What are your favorite beauty products under $20? And do we share any of the same favorites? Let me know! And be on the lookout for upcoming fall content.

Slap on some lipstick and smile
